Sales Associate

I was initially hired as a part-time sales associate in the Building Materials department. My responsibilities are as follows:

Building Materials Department: Sales Associate
  • to provide excellent customer service
  • stock/maintain shelves & lumber bays
  • fulfill customer cut requests
  • complete inventory audits
  • maintain a safe & organized merchandise yard area.

Department Supervisor

Within a couple of months of being hired, several Managers approached me to consider a Department Supervisor position with the potential of continued advancement. I decided to scale back QuiteVisible Studio, my Digital Marketing business, to pursue this opportunity and immediately transitioned into Full-Time employment status.

Department Supervisor Responsibilities
  • 10+ Sales Associates (subordinates)
  • Dept. personnel scheduling, reviews, discipline, interviews
  • Performance & Sales Metrics Accountability
  • Ongoing training
  • Filling in department needs when necessary
  • Special/Seasonal & Promotional Merchandising Displays
Paint Department
  • Advise and fill customer paint project needs
  • Establish relationships with Pro Customers
  • Hazmat procedures & protocols
  • Product inventory and orders
Garden Department
  • Christmas Tree lot operations
  • Hazmat procedures & protocols
  • Handling & maintenance of live plants
